<!– BLOG POST: At-Home Boxing Workout (Las Vegas & Henderson) –>

At-Home Boxing Workout for All Fitness Levels

You don’t need a full gym or fancy equipment to improve your boxing fitness. One of the best things about boxing is that the fundamentals—footwork, conditioning, and endurance—can be trained anywhere.

At Soto Boxing, we train members across Las Vegas and Henderson, and we always tell people the same thing: consistency wins. If you can’t make it to the gym every day, doing a structured at-home boxing workout a few times per week will keep your cardio sharp and your skills progressing.

What This At-Home Boxing Workout Improves

This workout is designed to build:

Boxing endurance (round-based conditioning)

Footwork and coordination

Core strength

Shoulder stamina (so your hands stay up)

Mental toughness through controlled fatigue

No equipment is required. If you have a jump rope or light dumbbells, that’s a bonus—but not necessary.

The Soto Boxing At-Home Workout (20–30 Minutes)

Format: 6 rounds total
Round Length: 3 minutes
Rest: 1 minute between rounds

Set a timer and treat each round like real boxing training.

Round 1: Shadowboxing (Technique Focus)

Stay in stance the whole round

Work your jab and straight right

Add simple combinations: 1-2, 1-2-3, 1-1-2

After every combo, move your feet (don’t stand still)

Round 2: Footwork + Defense

Step-in jab, step out

Pivot after combinations

Add basic head movement: slip left, slip right

End each combo with a defensive move

Round 3: Conditioning Round

20 seconds: fast hands (straight punches)

10 seconds: rest

Repeat for the full 3 minutes

Round 4: Core & Stability

30 seconds plank

30 seconds mountain climbers

30 seconds sit-ups or crunches

30 seconds side plank (left)

30 seconds side plank (right)

30 seconds rest (or slow shadowboxing)

Round 5: Shadowboxing Under Fatigue

Keep your hands up the entire round

Throw clean combos without swinging wild

Focus on breathing and staying relaxed

Move after every combination

Round 6: Finisher (Boxing-Specific Burnout)

10 push-ups

20 squats

30-second fast punches

Repeat until the 3 minutes ends

How Many Days Per Week Should You Do This?

For most people, this is a great schedule:

2–3 days per week if you’re new to boxing

3–4 days per week if you’re building fitness fast

1–2 days per week as a maintenance workout

The key is consistency. Boxing conditioning compounds quickly when you stay disciplined.

Why Round Training Works So Well

Round-based training is one of the most effective methods for improving cardio and endurance because it combines intense output with short recovery—similar to high-intensity interval training (HIIT).

Research supports that HIIT-style workouts can improve cardiovascular fitness and performance efficiently. For an evidence-based overview, see this NIH resource on HIIT training:
